Our Vision for 2012

Welcoming 2012 with open arms! There is so much that we as a company has been able to accomplish in the last two years. Entering year three we are able to look back at all of our victories and failures and evaluate what we can take from each experience and grow. The great thing about failures is that we know what not to do going forward. What's wonderful about the victories is we devise a structure and have a standard set to follow for our next projects. One of the main goals for this year is to set up a solid team. It is important that each moving part has a set person turning the wheel. Team work makes the dream work. The next goal is to publish 7 new books, I really want us to be established as a publishing house and the only way to do that is to publish books. This is very important to the growth and credibility of the company. Third I would like to open our new office in Atlanta. I already have the layout and designs in blueprint now all we need is the financial backing to set it up. So everyone keep us in your prayers we are setting out to change some lives and deliver some dreams this year. Year 3 lets go!

In the last three years we have been diligently working to build this company and although we have not yet reached where we want to be we are definitely on the way. We want to thank everyone who has supported us from checking us out on line, to purchasing one of our books or attending one of our shows we are truly grateful. In the next year we have plans to triple our growth, give you more publishings and produce more shows. It is truly our our goal to "Deliver dreams through words and inspire people to voice their visions"! We have not even come close to delivering as many dreams as we want but next year that is our main focus! Look forward to some major growth as we establish ourselves as a household name by making dreams come true. Merry Christmas!

Today is November 20, 2011 exactly one year ago "Wide Open" debuted at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in downtown Hartford. I have split feelings about it though. I am happy because that was one the best nights and experiences of my life to date and in a short amount of time we were able to accomplish so much but on the flip side of it I am perplexed because the tour had to be delayed. I thought that by now we would have done at least 20 shows but we haven't. There is so much work that goes into putting together a tour and the fact that I was basically doing all the work myself didn't help. One thing I will say is that I have learned a lot about people and politics through this whole experience.

There are some people that I must give a special shout out to...John, Tracy, Maurice, and Tarishi, when this tour gets picked up know that you will be the first people that I call. You all have continued to encourage, support and push me to keep "Wide Open" going. We have been through this together from day one and I appreciate you so very much for that. Let's take it to the top. I want to thank all the people who came out to see the shows. You have made this a life changing experience. I only pray that you were touched the way you touched all of us. I want to thank all of our sponsors and the venues who believed in us and supported us the show's would not have went up without you. Most of all I want to thank God for this visions and giving me the strength to get it off the ground.

A year later I find myself more focused then I've ever been. Smarter, wiser, cautious and in-tune with what is what. I have been preparing for something monumental. What is about to happen is going to change my life forever. The world will soon know my name. This fire that is burning inside me is in an uproar and about to become a California wild fire. I have proven to myself that I am an actress, writer, publisher, C.E.O., producer, director, mentor, poet, host. But now it is time to prove it to the world and what I have been working on is going to blast off. Hold on to your hats it's about to get REAL!

Aetna Theater at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art Welcomes Back
“WIDE OPEN” Stage Play for two Encore performances!

After a phenomenal performance by Shireal Renee and the entire cast the Wide Open stage play was left with a standing ovation. The Wadsworth Atheneum’s, Curator of Film and Theater, Debbie Gaudet said with much enthusiasm, “This show should be on Broadway…” Debbie has invited the production back for an encore performance in the Aetna Theater on February 5th and 6th 2011; show will run 7pm on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday. This time around former president of the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art and Travelers Foundation John H. Motley will host both nights.

Wide Open is an unconventional one-woman show, there are other actors on stage at various times but the main character Renee is the only one with a speaking role; the other incredibly talented actors play Renee’s thoughts expressing them through interaction and dance movements. The plot is a poetic journey through a young woman’s life as she battles with growing pains, adversity and suffers through an abusive relationship, finally turning to God to help her get through. The show is comical, heartfelt, spiritual, universal and timeless with a hopeful message that anyone can relate to.

Fox 61’s Stan Simpson says, “It was a very powerful show”, “Spectacular!” says audience member Jami, “Encore Please…”was requested from viewer Marsha and rave reviews go on and on from those in attendance. The success of the event also allowed for Wide Open to give a charitable donation in support a local organization Hope 4 Autism. A group bringing support and awareness to children and family’s who have been affected by Autism.

Poetz Corner TV Season 2 Finale

We will be rapping up the Poetz Corner Season 2 at Cloud 9 Lounge on Tuesday November 21, 2010. We had a lot of great times at with this venue. We were able to interview/showcase some incredible talent taping 22 episodes there. We will miss this place like crazy there are definitely some great memories.

This will be the last episode of 2010 and the last episode to be shot at this venue. Come say goodbye to season 2, Cloud 9 and 2010 with us. Lets take out the year with a bang!!!

Our feature to close out the season is Baub. There has been a lot of controversy going on in the CT poets community and he has been in the spinning mix of it we are going to get to the bottom of it all only on Poetz Corner TV!

We will also be revealing the new location, new guest judge and have some Poetz Corner TV giveaways !!! There will be news of the new premiere date and some great news for the future of the show with some powerful collaborations for the new year! Can’t wait to spill the beans!

I have been blessed to be a part of the cast of "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf" directed by Darlene "Peaches" Brandon! This experience has been pure therapy for me. God has sent me a group of women who have been able to lift my spirit just by their presence.

In this group is my friend and favorite poet Mind Evolution. God planted seeds of friendship in us almost instantly and this cast has allowed the seeds of friendship to bloom. Last night as she and I were talking she told me to go read this poem "Our Deepest Fear" by Marianne Williamson. So, of course I did! Then I had to share it with all of you because it touched me so much! Thanks ME for this. You are the truth girl! Your beauty illuminates from the inside oozing out spreading contagious love and inspiration. Keep doing you it inspires me.

I am very excited about what is happening in this cast. I encourage everyone to come out and see the production of "For Colored Girls..." at Classical Magnet School the last weekend in September. It will change your life. It has already began to change mine.

Shoe Crazy...A Written, Photo, Documentary

What is "Shoe Crazy"? Well, a good friend of mine Dionne Adessa took a picture of some pink pumps that I wore to a book signing at Cull Books in Bloomfield, CT. When she got home she uploaded the pic on Facebook and tagged me in it. When I saw the pic I was immediately in love. I know that sounds ridiculous that I fell in love with a picture of my feet in pink pumps - but it was more than that.

Anyone who knows me knows that shoes are a part of my life. Not just an accessory to protect your feet from the ground, more like a pet to me. I say pet and not family member because I believe I hold my family higher than my love for shoes; so for the sake of argument and deciphering out which cousin we're comparing this to on any given day - I will just say I love my shoes like I love my pet (if I had one). By the way I think I should note that I get this from my grandmothers, both of which are the Queens of "shoe craziness". I will tell you all about that later.

I am calling this, A Written, Photo Documentary, because I will be documenting all the different styles of shoes that I wear to all the events I attend. In my profession I am always hosting an event, at a book signing, premier, debut, etc...you name it. My obsession has convinced my brain that I have to have a new pair for each event (I can't repeat a pair). So when I saw Dionne's photo I thought, 'I should document this craziness, I can't be the only one out here like this'.

And guess what...I'm not! I have gotten so much feedback already from fellow shoe addicts that it has inspired me to start going out and reporting on all the new season trends and giving reviews on all the best places to buy shoes, get bargains and where to find the types of shoes for different types of feet.

Immediately, after I posted the first album I became friends on FB with a girl named Nichole who said, "I accepted you because you have a love for shoes like me." She clued me in on a hot website to review GoJane.com there were some great looks on the site so I did a review. Check it out on my Facebook page along with my entry for the day "Fun Car Finds", you wont believe what I carry around in my car.

This project is very close to my heart and I am so very excited to present it to you all. This is just the beginning of this journey, the possibilities are endless. I hope that you check out my Shoe Crazy albums I as build the book - "Shoe Crazy - A Written Photo Documentary" to be published by...LOL...By Renee Visions. ;)

Catching Up

Wow, it seems like I have not posted an update in forever. I have to get better at keeping you all up to date with what's going on with the company. Some really great things have been happening. So I will try to do a brief overview of all that is going on.

So the last post was on January 25th about 2 weeks ago. In that short amount of time I have been keeping myself extremely busy. The first thing was By Renee Visions launched a division to the company that was discussed in our business plan but never implemented. We were waiting for the right time to launch it. As you all know By Renee Visions is a publishing, marketing and public relations firm. The division of the company that specializes in public relations is called, "Red Shoe Exposures". This week we were able to put it on the map, starting off with a huge project, the "Black Dynamite" movie premiere starring Michael Jai White.

I was blessed to be asked by Joe Young to assist him with public relations for his company Young! Studios. I was honored to be considered for the position but gladly accepted. It has been such a learning experience and great exposure for myself and the company. Three hundred people came out including Sen. Coleman, the State Rep. the Governor and the Mayor.

"Red Shoe Exposures" held it down arranging the complete schedule of Michael Jai the entire time he was here. From the moment he stepped off of the plan we had arranged interviews with him on Fox 61 Stan Simpson Show as well as the Fox 61 morning show. Immediately following we were at Hot 93.7 for the DJ Buck and Nancy show then over to channel 3 for Better Connecticut with Scott Haney a slew of interviews followed including lunch with Alan Laz. Closing up the day with a meet and greet at the Boys and Girls Club and an autograph signing at Buckland Mall. I'm not boasting but I must say I was proud of what we were able to accomplish for the first time with this new division.

On to more exciting news By Renee Visions has decided to pick up a new author. We will be publishing the work of Blazze Johnson, a very talented rapper out of CT. Blazze came to me with her story and grabbed my heart right away. Her story is truly on of triumph over adversity. It is inspirational and a testimony that all things are possible through faith and trusting in God. Street Connfinement Magazine became Connecticut and Rhode Island’s number 1 source for music and entertainment in less than three years. Going into their fifth year they have expanded their distribution into eleven states, now they can be found throughout the east coast from Connecticut to Tennessee. Currently they are in the works of a national distribution deal. This year marks the 4th consecutive year that they have been voted “Entertainment Magazine of the Year”, and for the first time they were honored with the award for “Fashion Editorial of the Year” by the NIRO Design Center in 2009. In a short amount of time they have been able to accomplish many of their goals attracting many artists throughout the U.S. and to think they started right here in New Haven, CT.

Hot Helps Haiti – Party for a Purpose

On Tuesday night at Toad's Place in New Haven Hot 93.7's DJ Buck put on a benefit concert to raise money to send to the Haiti relief. The overwhelming cries for help hit Connecticut just as it did all over all over the world. Luckily a major voice in the state felt the compassion and understood the desire of the masses to want to help out. With all the turmoil going on DJ Buck said, “I knew I had to find a way to get the community involved”. So he initiated a benefit concert in less than 3 days that cost the public only $10 to attend. The roster consisted of a host of Connecticut artists that not only performed for free but paid to attend the event as well as their contribution to the cause.

It was refreshing to see the turnout of the event. DJ Buck reported that we rose over $4500.00 and 100 percent of the proceeds went directly to Haiti relief via The United Way and the Red Cross. The United Way also raised money off of tee-shirt sales that read “Live United”, so it is possible that over $5000.00 was collected. DJ Buck expressed, “It felt good to see so many people come together and how strong the community can be.”

I am excited to announce that I have teamed up with NE Video, winner of "Street DVD of the Year" for 3 years in a row to bring you the Grindin In CT Poetry Edition. NE Video has been the force behind many of the music video's you see coming out of CT. They have done work for the Holla Back Video Awards, the Connecticut Gospel Awards and many other well recognized video projects in Connecticut.

I have had the pleasure of working with NE video on many of my own projects throughout the last year so it was an honor to have been thought of to Host one of their DVD's. This DVD is going to highlight poets on many different levels. We will be doing personal interviews with poets going into different poetry venues and capturing poets in their own element as well as giving them an opportunity to showcase their hottest pieces. Not only will we be giving poets an outlet to shine the DVD will be available to them as a part of their video resume.

What a year! If I could sum up 2009 in one word it would be SUCCESS! And my word for 2010 is FULFILLMENT!

As a little girl I would dream about certain things that I would accomplish in my life before my time here was up. My visions were always so clear, I could tell you where I was, who I would be with, what I was going to do, and most importantly...what I was wearing...LOL. And this year I plan on FULFILLING many of those visions while keeping a clear head to see the new one's.

2010 started off with my books being purchased off of my website on New Years Eve and New Years Day! To me that was a sign of what the rest of the year will be like. People have left me messages reciting quotes from MY book...OMG! I can't even explain what that did to me. The website is up, my office is still open, against all odds and opposition -- I am living out my visions. I am a testament of what you can accomplish with an abundance of faith, trusting in your creator and having an unshakable belief in yourself and your plan.

My schedule for this year is already filling up. I am elated to announce that Tru Books has named "The Things Inside Me" the "Book of the Month" for February. So on February 27th we will kick off the "Wide Open" promotional tour at 3155 Main Street Hartford, CT. This tour will be hitting various cities across the country so look forward to the one coming to your city. I already have some scheduled radio appearances set up leading up to this event. New episodes of Poetz Corner TV will be airing starting Tuesday January 5th at 10pm as well as a book signing tour sponsored by Pocket Wireless. That is just a small portion of the things that are on my calendar.

The Wait Is Over

My life has taken me on a roller coaster ride of a journey; and I am loving every minute of it. I am not saying my life has been perfect and furthermore I am definitely not saying I am perfect...but I am my own perfection. At an early age I found a way to channel my imperfections into acting and writing. I used writing as a tool to create many of my own little worlds and fantasies. And I thank God for it because it has helped me keep my sanity in times when I didn't think it was possible.

My determination and dedication to my passion pushed me further when a dear friend of mine Carlton D. Bembry encouraged me to start my own publishing company so that I could share my visions with the world. And today through the love of God, my family, true friends and steady believers I find myself in a state of success. I have accomplished something that I have been working my whole life for...and now I want more. It's the most satisfying thing I have ever experienced. MY BOOK IS OUT!

I once told myself "the definition of success for me is when I hear my words and they are not coming out of mouth". In the last week that has happened to me more than I can keep count. I still can't believe it. It has changed my life, when something is not going as planned in my day, I just think...I published my book. Then everything is better. "I published my book". "I published my book. I did it". I feel like a child and everyday is Christmas. Funny thing is I got the best Christmas gift yesterday that I have ever gotten in my life. I sold my first book off of my website. I saw the email come through and it stopped me in my tracks. Instantly I was filled with joy. I wish I could give just a little bit of how that made me feel to everyone so they can experience it. It was nice. I still feel high from it.

On December 13th I had an incredible book launch party. Some amazing performers came out to support me. My favorite poets, Mind Evolution, Influence, Peaches, Baub, Tabu, and Constantly. CT's hottest performers, Ru Williams, Laree Salmon, Life Star, Paso, and Kyle "KayWhy" Young. My girl E-Boogie one of my newest friends did a beautiful job at hosting the event along with the multi-talented Paso, lots of love to Joe Young for taking his time out to do my introduction. DJ Wydow who kept us going through the after party and Kerson and Vanessa for letting me use the magnificent Cloud 9 as the venue. I really felt the love from all of you.

I have to thank my family for always being there to support me my Mom and Aunt Shireat for making a huge investment in my dream, for believing in my vision and never losing faith in me. For my father who always supports me and encourages me to keep going just by looking at the pride in his eyes. For my Uncle Robert who treats me like a daughter and was the first to invest in my dream. My Aunt Sonia who continues to take care of me. Calton D. Bembry for always knowing just what to say and for contributing the cover designs and layouts. Mrs. Crystal for always having my back and getting BRV the Pocket Wireless sponsorship. Street Connfinement Magazine for being supportive and helping me get to the level I am, for being one of the first outlets to let me express myself and trusting in me to take the publication to another level. And to all my good friends who were in attendance and came out in the rain to make sure the event was a success. To you all I am forever grateful.

The wait is over the highly anticipated, “The Things Inside Me” is finally coming out! The launch will be held at Cloud 9 Lounge at 7 Congress Street in downtown Hartford on December 13, 2009. The launch will include a preview of her one woman show, “Wide Open” which will be touring throughout the U.S. There will be special guest performances from some of CT’s hottest musicians and poets. This is an event you do not want to miss. Doors open at 6pm and the after party will continue at Cloud 9 Lounge.

This book is a journey of a girl named Renee who’s learning how to become a woman. While trying to figure out her place in the world she is challenged with many trials and tribulations. She uses poetry as her outlet by telling the story of her experiences as she faces all of life’s hurdles.
The story is broken down into three parts. Part I is set during her teenage years, where she is faced
with the problems of adolescence and being forced to grow up fast. She learns quickly that life has no favorites, it is cruel to us all. She deals with finding and losing her first love, surviving her parents divorce as well as being personally violated on more than one occasion.
Part II is set during her college years as she ventures away from the security of her home and has to learn how to survive on her own without the guidance and support of her parents. She deals with the difficulty of finding out who she really is and struggles with directing that energy into positive places.
Part III she becomes OPEN to whatever glory or disaster the world has set for her. After dropping out of school and moving to the big city she has to discover how to truly be yourself and utilize those values and morals that were instilled in her as a child to make wise decisions on being the best woman she can be.
This ground breaking story is set for the times it is written in poetry so the reader does not have to read it from cover to cover at once. It can be picked up and read when dealing with any particular feeling or event in one’s life. Shireal Renee has opened up her soul for the world to know where she came from, how she overcame and where she is going. Enjoy the ride.

The unplugged-unbelievably talented acts added a nice twist to the evening. To add even more incentive to attending the event some of the proceeds went to Habitat for Humanity. After having the pleasure of interviewing Reh Dogg for his music video, "Why Must I Cry" that received over 2 million hits on youtube I was given the opportunity to audition for the co-host on his talk show, "Random Thoughts". I am very excited to announce that I was offered the part and now am the new co-host of the show.

"Random Thoughts", is a show that Reh Dogg started in August of 2009. His first episode's topic was on friendship, this particular episode has picked up over 15 thousand views. Since then he has done segments on, Obsession, Rejection, Depression and Bullies just to name a few. In each segment he discusses a topic that he or someone he knows has been affected by and gives advice and encouragement on each topic. As I join the show I will bring a female perspective to each of his random topics and hopefully be able to offer some good advice of my own while increasing his female veiwers.

So on Monday night the most unlikely night of the week I attended, "The Love Jones Experience" at the Russel Cafe', hosted by my girl Peaches...and it also happened to be her birthday.

So, I do it again. I am so very excited to announce that my vision Poetz Corner which started out as a regular column that I started in Street Connfinement Magazine has grown up. Poetz Corner will now be airing on television. I can not even begin to explain how I feel right now. In the beginning of this journey all I wanted to do was create an outlet for poets to express themselves. There are so few publications that allow poets to submit their work and be recognized and being a writer myself who does poetry I took that personal. Therefore I started the column Poetz Corner with hopes of just reaching 1 person...and that would have made me satisfied.

It turned into an overwhelming response of poets sending their work in from all over the country. It was amazing. I got work from poets in Chicago, Atlanta, Kansas, all over the U.S. the response was so huge that the column got picked up by Ugly Radio.net in January 09. While we were there the ratings went through the roof the buzz was incredible.

Being the ambitious, visionary, person that I am, I immediately thought, 'why not do it on TV'. And 9 months later...its in motion. We taped the first season this weekend, proving to myself once again that it only takes a vision to accomplish all my dreams. This vision of mine was so huge that it took a whole cast and crew to make it happen, but when people can feel the passion seeping through someones skin they are ready and willing to be a part of the dream. So many people came out to support me I felt like God himself was in the room.

Poetz Corner is a show the showcases not only poets that put their words on paper but poets that put their words in art, music, fashion, photography and more. Giving birth to a word I created called Poetsolygy; a Poetsologist is a real estate agent for words, someone who's vision itself is poetry.

I have to thank the designers who dressed me in the segments; Tru Kullaz, Carmen Veal, Kimit Designs, Beyond Couture and Cardicci Couture; the beautiful Poetz Corner models, Marianne, Rochelle, and Danisia. I have to thank my new manager Mrs. Crystal of Diva's and Ballas Salon who also was the Fashion Director and supplied all the accessories. Bubu Chulo Xtrodinar the fabulous make-artist, NE Video who did the videography and executive produced this with me. Keith Claytor of TimeFrozen photography who stepped in at the last minute to deliver amazing photographs of the behind the scenes action and all the guest who came out to make the vision a reality.

The first season of Poetz Corner will premier on www.247music365.com for anyone who misses it on TV. We will be hitting public access networks all throughout CT as well as in ATL, D.C., Boston, and NY. So for your fix of poetry like never seen before make sure you check it out. New England Music Seminar

The New England Music Seminar held at the Bushnell theater in Hartford, CT was so amazing. June Archer has really out done himself. As if it were not enough that he makes Hot Chocolate Soul happen, a place where musicians, poets, soul singers and rappers can freely express themselves in a classy, jazzy environment. Now he is teaching those same people how to further their careers. His vision this year brought some of the industry's top professionals in to give advice and answer questions that every artists needs to know.

I had a chance to make so many connections at this event. I linked up with platinum producer, Tony Oliver, Lamonda Williams from Music Choice, Ron Stewart, the legendary DJ Showtime, James L. Walker the author of, The Business of Urban Music, and so many more. It was truly an honor to be in the same room with so many successful contributors to the entertainment industry that I myself am striving to leave my mark on.

We need events like this. So June make sure you keep bringing the knowledge to CT it is much needed because there is so much talent here and all people need is a little guidance.

On October 3rd I hosted along with the Cyphernauts out of NY, one of the hottest MC showcases that I have been to in a long time. My girl Jass Bianchi did her thing. She pulled together a show that was filled with real talented MC's, singers, dancers, models to artist and of course poetry.

I had so much fun. It felt like we were at a party straight out of the 80's. There were B-boys spinning on their heads, graffiti artist with their work on showcase on the walls and on beautiful ladies who were hand painted models.

This is an event that I encourage all MC's to be a part of, everyone there was supportive of each others talent, there were no "haters" in the building. It was all love. Something that is missing from many MC's showcases today. The house was packed, the energy was fire and the talent came from all over. MC's from CT to VA were in the building.

Big props to my girl for working so hard to bring this show to CT and a shout out to Family Tree music group for putting together and promoting it. It was a great show. You have to do it again.

You will be seeing a lot more from Jass as she is taping her music video on October 25th and will be a guest on Poetz Corner TV airing in November.

A New Day

For those of you who don't know...my passion for writing came from my love of acting. I was born an actress. For as far back as I can remember I wanted to live inside the TV. That was my first understanding of acting...getting inside the television. Therefore, I wrote a one-woman show to promote my highly anticipated book, The Things Inside Me!!!

This book has opened so many doors for me, even before being published. Through it I was introduced to Peoples, the owner of Street Connfinement Magazine and was able to start a monthly column in the publication called, Poetz Corner. This column has grown tremendously landing me a spot on uglyradio.net last spring and now it is destined for television. Yes, I said television.

Coming this fall Poetz Corner will be taping from the By Renee Visions Lounge, airing a new episode each week on http://www.247media365.com/ as well as on this very blog, youtube, and CT public access. I am overwhelmed with anticipation. All I can say is it is going to be the hottest show out. Just imagine Big Tiger's, Rap City...but for poets. That is what I am going to bring to the world. I am so excited and I wanted you all to know first. I will keep you posted on the progression we are making and the airing dates and you will be the first to view the show.

All I can say is anything is possible with God behind you. Keep pushing on as long as you have life in you and you will live your dreams. Blessings all.

I have a confession to make...I was all set to go to church today because my spirit has been craving it; but like the last couple of weeks I was lazy in the morning and didn't get up in time. My soul is in need of some spiritual reinforcement to keep me going. Fortunately for me, God never leaves my side, in or out of church. So, I am posting this poem to let everyone know how I am feeling about this.

The Next Level

All the assignments have been completed, all the papers written, all the test taken and now...I get my degree!!! I feel like I have been in school all my life. Technically I guess I have. But tonight I hand in my last paper. My senior thesis...and guess what it's on...being a shopaholic! Go figure.
Maybe I should have gotten my degree in financial management instead of business management, because God knows I need some financial management.
So after tonight I am officially a college grad...or at least my classes are done. Now I can focus 100% on my baby...By Renee Visions...she needs a lot of attention.

Should I go back for my Masters? I will regret it the first week of classes. Then be elated by completion. Hummm...I will think about it.

For now I will bask in the glory of finishing something I started years ago and moving on to the next level.

I can't wait to see what's waiting for me there. Publishing is my new future and I am going to change the game in this industry. I was born for this. Finally my dreams are reality and my visions are being realized. This next level is going to be a major scene in the movie of my life, so get ready.

The book WILL be out soon. As you all know I am the Editor-In-Chief of Street Connfinement Magazine...look for major moves there. I am growing everywhere. Hope to see you there!

Crystal Clear

Everyday is a blessing, a new opportunity to go out and show the world what you are made of. Today is the most important day for 2 reasons:

1. You will never get it back.
2. You're not guaranteed tomorrow.

So therefore, you must live everyday to its greatest potential. As a new business owner I found that I have to write list. Schedule my day so that I can accomplish as much if not all the items off of my list.

I have to be very disciplined because no one is waking me up and calling me to come into work. I just have to do it.

Everything is riding on my shoulders...And I love it!

This is just a taste for me. I feel my potential is to run a fortune 500 at the very least.

When I walked away from my day job. I promise it was not an easy decision; but the moment I made it I felt free and completely in control. I will not lie and say I had it all figured out, I really still don't. I am like an infant learning how to live in this new big world I was be nurtured for all that time. But I'd rather be growing than feeling trapped and stagnant.

Plus I live by faith and I promise everything inside me told me I was doing the right thing...How could I ignore it? How could anyone?

I am going to post some pictures of the office so you can see how far BRV has come. I'd love your feedback.

My visions are Crystal Clear and I have dove in head first now, no rescue crew in sight, just me, my determination and will to take on the fight. Help me grow.

Things Are Not Always What They Seem! Love Life

It is so funny when people say to me, "Wow, your a business owner?". Trust me people in the beginning it is all fluff. Sounds a lot more luxurious than it really is. I tell you, it is a struggle. Some days I just feel so lonely. I have to remind myself to be grateful for everything, to appreciate every moment and to never stop no matter what the weather is doing.

My Aunt Shirelle is a very wise woman. She has always been someone I could go to for advice. She sent me a great column that was published by Regina Brett and I want to share it with you all:

Written By Regina Brett, 90 years old, of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland , Ohio"To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most-requested column I've ever written. My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:"

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends andfamily will. Stay in touch.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

Part II of, The Things Inside Me, is broken into
two parts of Renee's journey; Matured & Educated. Welcome to the young adult phase of Renee's journey. She is finding out what it is to be away from home and her family. She is discovering her sexuality and feelings that she never knew existed.

Matured...takes you through a metamorphosis of the female mind and body from a girl to a woman. Renee pours her heart out about the confusion she is facing, adult decisions she is not prepared to make. Her secret sexual desires start calling her and her body fights against her to pursue them. She struggles to stay true to the morals and values instilled in her by her family, sometimes being defeated by urge. Surviving the loss of loved ones and smiling when her heart only wants to frown. Growing through all these situations, the only option is to become matured.

Educated...walks you step by step through the mind of a confused college student. Understand her plight as she struggles to declare a major, while fighting the "Kanye West" syndrome of being a, college drop out. Renee realizes much of her education is coming from experience more than what she is studying in her books. As she battles staying in college and following her dreams each day she continues to learn something new.

Obviously MJ was known just about since his birth. But in reality the world slandered his name during his life. Lets take a moment to love him for what he did for music, culture, diversity and hope and humanity.

The Moonwalker will live for ever. His time has come to know him for what he is... a legend; a man who touched people around the world, and someone who fulfilled his destiny before he moved on to the final phase of life.

Just as we grow in our personal lives we grow in our business lives as well. By Renee Visions has grown from an idea I had in my head to a reality that I live in everyday. Dreams do come true.

By Renee Visions, represents making dreams come true. We believe that any vision God puts in your head can be fulfilled. Actually it is your duty to make sure that the visions given to you are manifested.

As you nurture and chase that vision you will begin to feel yourself grow internally. Your eyes become open; and once your eyes are open there is no turning back.

I experienced this first hand. My spirit began to outgrow my current energy and space. My body fought to hold on to what it believed was the right decisions. The logical decisions. But people who believe in God, shall not depend on one's own understandings or outside human thinking and advise.

A true measure of faith is trusting what's in your heart because God knows...that your through your heart you are moved. So you must go with your gut and follow with diligence what drives you, because God will not leave you. You will not have to question it. It will just be, as it should.

The Things Inside Me, is truly a journey. It began as a single poem about how I was feeling. And then developed into; situations I was in, changes I was going through, events that were happening around me and a roller coaster of every emotion imaginable for a young woman to go through in her adolescence until she finally finds herself in the womanhood phase.

The forward opens the book revealing to the reader the emotions that are going on inside this girl. The battle she is having with herself and how she finds the courage to go after her dreams.

The story is written for our times. Written for the person who does not necessarily have the time to sit and read an entire novel. You can pick up this book and according to how your feeling read a section that fits whatever emotion your experiencing at that time. Find yourself developing a personal relationship with me as you see that you are not in this alone, there is always someone out there who can relate to you. This book is true innovation, Poetsology, at its best.

The Things Inside Me, was the first book that was written. I started it when I was around 12 years old. It holds in its binding the first poem I ever wrote; Sleepless Night. I hope that this book can become a tool of guidance and inspiration for people everywhere.
